Have you ever imagined that you could use a travel backpack featuring an interior lined with the covers of the legendary vintage magazines published by Touring Club Italiano?
Tucano and Touring have brainstormed together and created Tugò Touring. It’s the most representative travel backpack from Tucano’s catalog but made unique by Touring Club’s unmistakable green, TCI branded zipper pulls, and with the amazing illustrations from the historical archive of Corso Italia.
This interesting and unusual collaboration between Touring Club and Tucano is the result of the bond between two of Milan’s icons, both part of the city’s cultural and entrepreneurial roots.
The first has a long history, spanning more than a century and built around travel and its peculiarities, through an itinerary centered on art, culture, discovery and identity. The second has a relatively short history, not much more than thirty years, built around the product, Italian design, and the concept of modernity and functionality.
Why was this one backpack chosen?
Because the backpack is the ideal bag for today’s experienced travelers, the ones who want their baggage to become a perfect companion for everyday life, focused on meeting every need in terms of both comfort and technology. A traveler that is absolutely aware of how thin the dividing line is between travel backpacks and work backpacks.
The Tugò backpack is the synthesis of all of this, equipped with one large compartment that opens like a suitcase, dedicated to clothing and accessories, a laptop compartment, and a few pockets that are ideal for the small tech gadgets that we can’t live without. Small, compact and meeting the requirements for cabin luggage, the Tugò backpack is ready to become part of the wonderful world of Touring Club Italiano.
Exclusively for Touring Club members, Tugò Touring can be purchased at the special price of 18 euro rather than €59.90. But, Touring is also offering it’s members the possibility to purchase additional backpacks at a 50% discount, an attractive price of just €29.90.
The price for non-members is €59.90.

MP Management models and Tucano together for the launch of the O.D.D.S backpack during fashion week in Milan and Paris

For fashion week in Milan and Paris, having recently launched the O.D.D.S collection of raw-edged, neoprene backpacks and accessories with visible seams, Tucano has planned a marketing event with the MP Management modeling agency. During fashion week in Milan and Paris, three hundred models will be carrying the Trap backpack from the O.D.D.S. collection, chosen especially for the occasion and personalized ad hoc.

Tucano has focused on two special colors chosen for the initiative: sand and olive green. This marketing event is very significant for Tucano, as it has only recently made its debut in the fashion sector with an interesting and innovative selection of products: the collection dubbed O.D.D.S., which stands for “Our Dreams Deserve Space”. In addition to its special features, raw-edged neoprene with visible seams, our new line of casual backpacks and bags also stands out for its sophisticated shapes, its color palette, and its color-coordinated micro accessories. All of these features enhance the dynamism and lightness of this contemporary design.

Tucano presented its anti-radiation covers for smartphones at the “Emergenza Cancro” (Cancer Emergency) conference organized by SIMA in Montecitorio.

The daylong event, organized in the Chamber of Deputies by SIMA (Italian Society for Environmental Medicine), focused on the topic of the urgent situation relative to cancer development and the correlation between the increase in pediatric cancer and Italy’s most polluted cities. Despite the fact that pollution is a high risk factor, and measures to control it are still not very effective, much can be done in terms of prevention both in the public and in the private spheres. Tucano has developed a special cover for smartphones, available for the most popular models on the market, capable of reducing the damage done by electromagnetic fields by approximately 80%. During the conference Tucano’s CEO, Dr. Luini, described the project, supported by the engineers from Bari Polytechnic University, the authors of the research. Recently the WHO, World Health Organization, addressed the carcinogenic potential of radio frequencies/radio waves, recommending that cellphones be used prudently. The same issue was addressed by the Lombardy Region through an awareness campaign. Tucano covers with anti-radiation shielding, designed and patented for safer use of cellular telephones, reduce the risk of potential health damage due to radiation. Made with a certified internal material, Tucano’s anti-radiation smartphone covers have been scientifically tested and feature carefully researched design available at the same price as any other quality cover.

Tucano was a big success at the autumn edition of MIPEL, held at the Fieramilano-Rho Exhibition Centre from 16-19 September.

Tucano had a great experience at MIPEL, the leather goods and fashion accessories trade fair, recently held in Milan’s Rho Exhibition Centre. During the trade fair Tucano’s stand showcased the best of Italian design, with backpacks, bags and accessories as well as an area dedicated to Tucano Shake – featuring graphics by Atelier Mendini, and ODDS – a surprising line of “raw-edged” neoprene backpacks.

Tucano has also created an interesting line of bags, backpacks and accessories, designed by Italian stylist Laura Federici, whose “Laura Fed” brand bridges the concepts of fashion and interior design. The Laura Fed for Tucano collection is a limited edition, which includes eight products in two different colorways: black and white as well as red and white. The collection is on display at the Excelsior Milano from the 17th to the 25th of September and at the Scenario spaces located within the Fieramilano-Rho Exhibition Centre.

A project created exclusively for MIPEL and welcomed by Tucano with enthusiasm as part of a much broader initiative that also includes an exhibition in October, in Seoul, at the MIPEL leather goods showroom.

This year the now familiar Tucano shopper will brighten up the Lido during the 75th Venice International Film Festival.

The 75th Venice International Film Festival, headed up by Alberto Barbera, which runs from August 29th to September 8th in the picturesque setting of the Lido, will feature a jury led by Mexican film director Guillermo Del Toro who won the Golden Lion in 2017 for his film ‘The Shape of Water’.

Walking across the coveted red carpet will be famous visitors such as Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. The Golden Lion Honorary award will be given to both Vanessa Redgrave and David Cronenberg.

Once again this year, Tucano has created the official shopper for this event – the most important film festival in Italy, which is also among the most prestigious in the world – confirming the brand’s strong bond with the world of cinema and with all of the important cultural and artistic events surrounding it. The shopper, designed exclusively for the event and featuring an especially unique color palette, will enliven the already stimulating environs of the Festival, showcasing Tucano’s unmistakable, signature style.

The American film ‘First Man’, directed by American filmmaker Damien Chazelle and starring Ryan Gosling, has been chosen as the Festival’s opening film. The film depicts the NASA mission to land Neil Armstrong on the moon. The closing film will be ‘Driven’ by Nick Hamm, a movie inspired by a true story involving an FBI agent and a pilot who became an informant.
